CR Systems:
When using CR systems, usual cassettes with luminescent screens instead of
intensifying screens and analog films are exposed.
These luminescent screens are either manually inserted into the scanner or automatically
taken out of the cassette and then scanned.
After the scan process the image on the luminescent screen is deleted and
the screen can be used again.
DR Systems:
In DR systems ( silicium technology) detector plates are exposed. Inside the plates
the X-ray is first converted to light which is converted to electric signals. Using this
system the images are available after a few seconds.
